Self-Rating Scale of Self-Acceptance

The SELF-RATING SCALE (of Self Acceptance) or PANUKAT NG SARILI is designed to estimate one's level of self acceptance. The respondent is instructed to react to the bipolar item twice: first, in terms of how he/she sees self, and then, a second time, to indicate how he/she would rather be. The items are scored on the difference or discrepancy between the two ratings.

Developed as a research instrument, the scale may be used as a guidance tool. Subtotal scores as well as individual items may serve as points of exploration in counseling. The scale may be used with the 10-17 year old age group.
